Interested in Puppies?

Sunrise Kennel has an average of 3 Shiba Inu puppy litters a year. Depending on when our females come into season is when we can give a better estimate of when we will have available puppies.

We do have a waiting list for Shiba Inu puppies and if you'd like to get your name on the list for the next litter please email or text.

We will have a couple litters coming up this summer , ready for the fall, contact if looking for that special shiba

Traditional Reds

  • Red is the most dominant and popular Shiba Inu color.

  • Red Shibas are the most well-known and commonly associated with the breed.

  • Sashige (sometimes called "dirty red") is a variation of red with black-tipped fur.

  • Sashige Shibas carry the black and tan gene, which influences their coat coloration.

          Black and Tans

Black and tan is a recessive color gene, meaning both parents must carry it for
a puppy to be this color

The Black coat isn’t pitch black but has a coppery or deep red glow with a lighter undercoat

Tan markings appear above the eyes, on the chest, cheeks, and legs.

White chest markings should be symmetrical according to breed standards.

Creams

Cream Shiba Inu puppies can be born from red, sesame, or black and tan parents if both carry the recessive gene.

Not actually white—cream Shibas often have a subtle red glow, especially around the ears.

Nose color is typically brown or pink, rather than black like other Shiba color variations.

Caused by a recessive gene, making the cream coat less common.
